Food For Thought Restaurant

Williamsburg, Virginia
Completed: 2006

An old restaurant located on Richmond Road, an entrance corridor to historic Williamsburg and the College of William & Mary, was converted to an independently-owned restaurant with a unique concept. “Food for Thought” was the brain-child of Howard Hopkins to be an establishment that caters to the refined intellectual appetite, as well as the palette, of the local population. The dining rooms are carefully decorated with artwork and biographies of great thinkers in history, while quotable aphorisms are stenciled on nearly every wall (including one you can only read in the mirror of the rest room), making your visit a treat for the mind as well as the stomach.
