Jonathan Harrison, RA - Principal Jonathan Harrision - Project Manager

Jonathan Harrision, architect, Hopke & Associates, Inc. - Architecture | Planning | Interiors

Hopke & Associates Architecture/Planning/Interiors, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jon Harrison to Principal of the firm.

Jon joined Hopke & Associates in mid-2006 after completing his Masters of Architecture at Virginia Tech. During his undergraduate program at the College of William & Mary, Jon served as a student intern and draftsman for the firm. His undergraduate degree in chemistry was followed by a graduate program in architecture punctuated by multiple design awards. This broad background in science and art makes Jon an unusually insightful problem solver and designer.

Jon has an exceptional depth of knowledge of material properties, the building code and the production of drawings using the latest computer technologies. In his role as Principal, Jon is responsible for the production of construction drawings for the entire firm, while remaining active in all phases of the design and construction process.

The incredibly proud father of a toddler, Jonathan fully anticipates the possibility of maybe finding some free time someday. Not easily deterred by certain culinary failure, Jonathan spends the time he has devising experimental cuisine for his wife - of which she raves “that was what?” When not otherwise engaged in the kitchen, he enjoys the fanciful whimsy of renovating his home, defending his son from "friendly" investigation by Flash (the family cat), and vice versa.
